Ein suberbes US Metal Album.

SKELATOR "Agents Of Power" songs online and album details

Beitragvon Jowita » 26. April 2012, 21:44

The epic Heavy/Speed Metal warriors, SKELATOR come back with a new slab of raw steel! "Agents Of Power", their 2nd studio album, is split into 2 parts, with the first 4 songs being kick-ass, catchy metal anthems and the other 12 forming an Elric epic, which had been carefully crafted for over a decade. The CD will be out on April 27th (Keep It True festival).

Check out 3 songs from the new album: “Gates Of Thorbardin”, “Rhythm Of The Chain” and “Rubble And Ash” from the player on the SKELATOR page on our new website!

Read more about “Agents Of Power” on the page of this release: http://metal-on-metal.com/albums/skelator-agents-of-power-cd/

If you come to the Keep It True festival on April 27th-28th, you will have a chance to buy the CD directly from us, either as a regular or special tin-case edition with 2 exclusive photos.

The album will be soon available also for digital download through CD Baby, iTunes, Amazon MP3, eMusic and other retailers, as well as directly from us, from our new Bandcamp page.

Great artwork, obviously reminding a little bit of the artwork of one of heavy metal's four greatest albums. One of the rare occasions where it's actually the artwork and the Elric concept that would instantly make me buy that record, even if I hadn't known the band before.

I'm really curious to hear how SKELATOR managed to capture the magic of Elric's story.

Elric is always a good reason to buy a CD. :smile2:
But then I fell victim to the special offer and bought the first Skelator and the Mortalicum CD as well. Now they are in the listening-queue, directly after Adramelch.

Haha, yeah, of course it's similar to the great piece by Michael Whelan, used on "Frost And Fire"! :cool2: We have been so lucky that the artist who painted it (Maichol Quinto) got back to us right away and that the artwork was available for licensing! When the deadline was upon the band to deliver the stuff needed for the album, they told us that the artist whom they had commissioned for the cover art had disappeared (and I have to add now: luckily, because he was just OK, not outstanding). So we had to search feverishly on the internet for images of Elric and found a few on Deviant Art - we had some choice, but I immediately fell in love with this beautiful piece. <3 What's interesting, it had not been used in print before - this (Italian) artist painted it as a personal gift for Michael Moorcock! Not surprisingly, the artist is also a metalhead :yeah:

Anyway, we'll be looking forward to reading the review in Powermetal.de! Sorry, I can't remember now who was going to review which CDs (maybe you were going to review SACRED GATE or MORTALICUM?) - just too much going on at KIT. :)

Yeah - and of course you have the lyrics to follow while listening to the album. :)
We're glad we were able to convince you with our special offer. :cool2: Hope you will enjoy all 3 albums!

Oh, I'm very easily convinced to buy more CD's. :smile2: I only listened to Mortalicum so far and my first impression was very good. I'll write something more detailed, once I have some more time.

Yes, I've gotten SACRED GATE and MORTALICUM to do the reviews, and Holg will do SKELATOR.
