Anyone out there remember this band? They had one 7" and a full legnth LP on Black Dragon back in the 80's. Featured Johnny Dee, later of DORO fame and Gary "Sledge" Hammer. Outta Philadelphia.

Some song titles:

(Nothin' Can) Save Me From Hell
The Final Solution
Come and Get It
The Wheel

Ring any bells? Laurent, you know EVERYTHING!!!!

Came across the LP in Paris years ago, but didn't buy it due to lack of funds.
They were, however, not on the infamous Black Dragon label, but on Axe Killer label, I just checked that in the US Metal 2-book. I remember visiting the old address of Axe Killer back in the early nineties, but they were no longer there. Years later they of course started re-releasing stuff.

There was another band called WWIII, with Tracy G on guitar, I believe.
Not much help, I guess. Laurent...? :)

I have the lp.
It was released on Axe Killer records in 1985.
On the record, there's no mention of a Johnny Dee
Band members (on this record) are:
Tipa Sparrs - vocals
John Fiteodoro - drums
Gary Hammer - guitars
Dan Hammer - bass

Don't like the lp, though ...
More of an old hard rock/heavy rock (with some metal influences) than a real metal band, nothing you need to have heard!!!

Don't know if there's a cd version of it.

Pepsiswasp (Don't Let/Make Me Sting You!)
P.S.
Yes, there was indeed an other WWIII band (with Traci G?).
But, as far as I know from a review from one of their albums, that was also more of a hard rock band.

Yeah, that's the band! And yes, it was Axe Killer, not Black Dragon, my mistake.

Johnny Dee is Johnny Fitedoro's nickname (easier to pronounce than the Italian).

I agree the LP is a bit weak (I like it though) but there's a live tape floating around "Live at the Barn" which has a bunch of ripping material on it that is not on the LP.

Laurent if you have that MF article I'd appreciate it, no rush.

Cool to see that some people remember this band from my old neighborhood...thanks everyone!!!!

This is the ONLY thing I've ever found on the www about this band....
