okay... beleive it or not, I don't have ANY albums from this band, but am looking to get some of their material... yes, I am looking for some German beer metal!

the only time (up until hearing some samples from thir latest album yesterday) was a video on the Noise- Dommsday news video I got (remeber that?!) back in 88' or 89'.

Any recemonedataions? where can I buy their albums? Except for their last three, all their earlier stuff is impossible to find here in the states, so I neeed a few good sources on where to find them! <_<

Sorry, but I've never been a Tankard-Fan myself, but they are quite well-known here in Germany. Some of their records seem to be very cool old-school-Thrash but I'm not very familiar with the band...

Wow... this thread is OLD!

Actually, since this original post, I was able to track down ALL of the Tankard albums! A big thanks to Sanctuary/noise for allowing them to all be re-released and re-mastered!

I had a harder time getting some of the post-Noise records albums like Disco Destoryer, Kings of Beer and the self-titled album, but eventually found them on eBay for a good price.

In my opinon, "Beast of Bourbon" is the best thrash metal album ever... with a song like "Die with a Beer in Your Hand", how can you not love it? :D

Speaking of which, I have since bought a Tankard long-sleeve shirt that has that very same phrase on it, and wear it quite often. It has become quite a hit at our live shows and other events I wear it at. There are even people that ask me where they can get a Tanakrd shit, even though they have never herad the band, just so they can have a shirt that says "Die with a Beer in Your Hand" on it!

Ol' Gerry coined the perfect marketing phrase for those of us who are beer fanatics. B)
