Yes, excellent Avatar!

And only up to song 8? That means you missed some of the best songs, including MARK OF THE WOLF and COLOSSUS...

Wait until you hear those!

Yeah, Kostas told me about "Mark of the Wolf" - he said it is one of the best Epic songs he has ever heard of...
Can't wait to hear it!

Mark Of The Wolf is one of the best Epic metal tracks ever written. A milestone comparable to the best epics from DIO/RAINBOW!!!!!!

Hail Dustin!

Thanks! That little flyer was handed out by Overlorde Force Recon Pathfinder Hoyt.
Doing his part to spread the word just like Pathfinders MK and Oli!

The artwork was done by Greek Fantasy/comic artist Giorgos K. via Music Forward.

Oli humbles us with his description of MARK OF THE WOLF. The music for this song was one of the last written by us before we broke up in late 1988. We had really grown in our complexity by then as compared to songs on the 1987 EP, most of which had been written from 1985 to 1986. Then when Bobby joined the band in 2000, he wrote the excellent lyrics, drawing on his love of the horror movie genre. Its a great song, telling of a man's transformation into a werewolf.

You will also like the fact that Bobby is one of the easiest singers to understand when listening. While it is always good to have the lyrics in front of you, it is much less important when he sings. You can understand what he is saying more easily. So when a song like MOTW comes on, you can really follow the story.

I know Kostas at Sonic Age loves TRAPPED BY MAGIC, which is also heavy in the Dio/Rainbow influence.

BTW, Oli, Rainbow's STARGAZER is my favorite song of all time by any band, any genre!

Hi there...

I am just listening to the album and as far as I can say it's fantastic! "Trapped By Magic" is a true masterpiece but the rest of the album does not stand back in any minute. Great work and it was worth the long, long wait. Since the return of Overlorde with the 2000 EP I was waiting for this album and now it's only about a month away and I will have the CD in all its shining glory.

Well, it might sound a bit pathethic but what I hear is just awesome. :D

Hey Mark!

Yesterday, I received my new promo (as the old one was full of errors up from Track 8) and I have to say that especially "Mark of the Wolf" and "Trapped by Magic" are asskicking Metal-Killers!!
You did a fantastic job with the record!!

I have to say, I even more like the shorter in your face songs like Snow Giant, Overlorde, Blackness, Ogre Wizard. Damn, this is a classic even before it is released....

Hails!

I saw the new review posted here at Sacred Metal (was that you MK or Ernst that did it?). I did a quick "auto translate" and though these translations are only about half correct, what I could read appeared to say very good things!

Thanks! Look for a big update at overlorde.com this weekend including a new section, REALM OF THE SNOW GIANT, with links to reviews, etc specifically related to RETURN OF THE SNOW GIANT!

The Sacred review will be listed there!

Hey Mark, I wrote that one. And I'm not surprised "Auto translate" didn't work. Just tried it with Babelfish and it looks like I used a lot of weird words...;)
