David, it has been quite a while since VS?s last record saw the light of day. What did you do all the time, musically?

ANSWER: Compose music, write lyrics, perform concerts, etc. The Summer of 2003 saw the birth of another "Metal-Opera', which was again performed in Memmingen, Germany. This was based on the Ancient Sumerian legends concerning "Lilith".

2. Can you give the readers a short update about the recording of the next record? When will it be released, do you already have an album title, some songtitles etc.?

ANSWER: Sure. It will hopefully be released sometime between January and March. Yes I have a title...but I can't tell you just yet, as it may change. It is largely based on the music and lyrics that I wrote for the above mentioned "LILITH" Opera. I have well over 60 pieces of music, so whittling it down to 1 CD release is quite difficult as you can imagine.

3. What can we expect from the new Virgin Steele, musically? Will it be once more a rock-opera-stylish record like ?Atreus?
For all the words unspoken, for all the deeds undone,
for all our shattered dreams, for all the songs unsung,
for all the lines unwritten and all our broken hearts,
for all our wounds still bleeding and all our kingdoms come.

Wird aber auch Zeit...:)
I guess we never sold out, so we were never really in
I wouldn't change the way it was, the places I have been...
