And I love Mägo De Oz also with my 46 years

hahaha that's cause you haven't been to a Mago De Oz concert in Spain... they are playing them all time on top of the pops and the concerts are full of teenagers fans of Brittney Spears and Shakira. Believe me, they are not metal anymore! :(

If you want to listen to Folk influenced metal check Ñu who are the much more authentic and they have been playing since early 70's.
The only thing with this band is that the singer is a crazy man who hates press. Otherwise they could have been much bigger.

There are some songs here:

Hm, I first heard of Mago de Oz by a spanish classmate, not into metal at al lsome years ago!

Concerning your list I knew only Evo and Santa so far, I am still looking for both. Unfortunately Vinyl stuff from this area is often expensive here.
I saw Reencarnation for 40-60 Euro here about half a year ago but I had no money to buy..
I have to agree that Azuzenas voice is one of the best female metal vocals ever. The spanish tongue gives the whole record something very special as well! Rest in Peace.

Got to check out the other stuff too, thanks for list!

Yes... the Spanish vinyls are often really expensive.

There are some that can be found cheap, but overall they are not cheaper than 25-30 euros even here.

Don't call me a teenager .... :angry2:

You're right, Steel Horse and Wild are great, I love them. I met the Wild-singer Javier a few years ago at the KAOS in Madrid, just when they had only the "Heavy Metal" Demo finished. Great guy, hope to see these bands live on stage in the near future. Maybe my wife and me will travel this year in August to San Javier to join the Leyendas Del Rock festival - what a billing <3

I saw Mägo De Oz twice, once in Wacken and once at the Bang your Head-Festival and the gig at BYH was one of the best shows I've ever seen there. But this was years ago. But I still like their music, doesn't matter, what kind of people watch their shows. :smile2:

I just have heard the new Obus- Album called "Cállate!". It was just released in February through Peer Music. I really like it, even it is not so fast and raw like the earlier works, but Iahaven´t expected that, so I am hapyy with that album.

Leyendas del Rock has a GREAT billing this year!! They made the correct decision to bring bands like Lizzy, Tygers or Picture! The first years it was just Spanish bands and it was less powerful. Now it's much more complete.

Not exactly Spanish (cause they are Basque) I would strongly recommend Su Ta Gar. Specially the first works are fucking great metal. Lately they are more Pantera style, but the first two albums Jaiotze Basatia and Hortzak Estutirik are the pride of metal from the Basque Country.

Su Ta Gar are great, the CD-only track "Haika mutil" from the Jaiotze Basatia-record is one of my alltime faves from Spain :yeah:

Great song!!

Actually it's a cover from a Basque popular song from many many years ago. Perfectly metalized by Su Ta Gar! :yeah:

yep, sure.

Check this version which seems to be the closest to the original poem:

Not too much to do with the Su Ta Gar version but pure feeling anyway.

"Skulls in the Stars"!

*Herz-Lungen-Wiederbelebungs-Gerät auspack und alten Thread aus dem Daten-Nirvana reiß*

Lief bei mir heute und war nur haarscharf unter dem Niveau des "Classix of the Day":
SANTA - No hay piedad para los condenados 1985
Bild
