I've been there - I guess two years ago - when Ophis played. Pantheist, Griftegard, Forgotten Tomb, Worship and others were on the bill as well.
All I can say is that it was one of the best and most atmospheric festival experiences of my life. The three days had the best sound I have ever heard on a festival, from opening act to headliner, all perfect. That together with a magnificent, dark and gloomy lightshow made it the perfect doom experience and I have never felt so sucked in into live doom metal as during these 3 days in Baroeg. I can really only recommend the festival to each and everyone here, even if you are not that much into the darker side of the genre (e.g. Death Doom, Funeral Doom), this might just be a good step to really approach and experience theseacts from the other side of the fence. At least it was for me.
If time allows we will try to be there again this year. Unfortunately my girlfriend and I are both in the middle of our diploma/doctor thesis so time is a bit short at the moment. We will see, maybe we will find a way and arrange something with Phil from Ophis and make it from Hamburg to Rotterdam with them for Sunday at least...
