Yep, the underground lives! Here's the info:

New US metal label Melissa Records rises to the occasion

?Is that you, Melissa??

?Hell yeah!?

Melissa Records, an intrepid new label based in The Netherlands, is putting the pedal to the US metal. Created late 2006 and dedicated solely to power/progressive/thrash and heavy metal from the United States, MR promises to bring you the best that the versatile US underground has to offer.
As we are firmly rooted in the US metal tradition of the eighties, we strive for quality and for quality only: we exclusively release cd?s that we would actually invest our own hard-earned cash in. Thus, every aspect in the process - from selecting the bands to creating the artwork - is handled with the utmost care. Value for money is the label?s motto.

And while we?re at it, Melissa Records is proud to announce its first signings: Seventh Calling (MN) and Beyond Fallen (PA). Both bands have been in existence for a number of years, gigged steadily and released cd?s on their own, earning excellent reviews worldwide in the underground press. Although different in style, as pure metalbands Seventh Calling and Beyond Fallen have those three essential things in common: fine songwriting skills, craftsmanship and the ability to set the stage alight.
While Seventh Calling goes for the dark power metal approach that is reminiscent of vintage Metal Church, Beyond Fallen brings you a mixture of power metal and thrash with a progressive edge. CD?s are slated for release on Melissa Records in Spring 2007.

With the US metal underground alive and kicking, and with other exciting projects on the horizon, the future looks bright for Melissa Records ? created by metalheads for metalheads.
