Dark, technical, melodic and powerful. Blacksword takes no prisoners with their own brand of hard-edged Siberian Steel in the grand tradition of early Dickinson-era Iron Maiden, Sanctuary, Jag Panzer's "Ample Destruction", and Helloween's "Walls of Jericho". This band delivers the goods with their crushing riffs and Sword and Sorcery lyrics (sung in English) inspired by the likes of Michael Moorcock, Clark Ashton Smith and David C. Smith. Roll out to greet the newly crowned Kings of Russian Epic Metal with Blacksword "THE SWORD ACCURST".

But the cover art is a little bit - let's say suboptimal:

If a band (or label) puts a painting of Elric on the album it gets of course compared to the fabulous paintings of Michael Whelan (see on Cirith Ungols albums). And here Lionel Baker's cover can not compete...
